When I got home from work tonight, there was a large box in the middle of the entryway. I couldn’t figure out what was inside (did someone send us a chandelier?), and then M came down and said, "Mommy! What is this box? Is it our comforters??" Funny that M is more aware of what goes on in our household than I am. It was indeed their comforters. We made up their new beds with the new stuff, and I took two photos of them, but our upstairs compter is acting up so I can’t upload them. Hopefully the computer will start working again soon. Stupid monitor.
I also told the girls tonight that we were going to go to a neighborhood fair this weekend at "Orange Playground," and you’d have thought I told them that the Wiggles were coming to dinner. They were so excited. M started singing, "I love the fair at Orange Playground! It is the best thing ever!!" over and over again. Ah, to be 4.
And the best – I got a call at 9 PM tonight from one of the girls’ teachers. She was calling to tell me that A made her day today, because in the middle of the day, A turned to her and said, "I love the Pilim class! I love school. This is so much fun and I love it." She said that the girls are so happy, and she loves seeing them every morning, and that she just had to call and tell me. M and A are branching out and being very social, and they arrive with a smile every morning. She blames us.
That was a high point of an otherwise dreary day. (That and the $400 check that arrived from the pet insurance company today to cover a $500 vet bill. Cha-ching.)
Here are some more photos from Butler’s on Sunday. These were taken by Ellen – beautiful shots.
