It has been a few days since I last posted, as I was in San Francisco for a few days for work. It was a rough few days here at home – N had a fever Mon and Tues and missed camp both days, and A had rehearsals after camp that she had to stay late for. Daddy had a lot on his hands but he did a great job!
Last night, A was in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory at camp as her Curtain Call finale. I was SO sad to miss it – I took a redeye last night – but by all accounts she did a great job and the show was really impressive. I saw some video and it looked awesome! N LOVED it and was upset that it was over. He said that it was too short. I will share some photos and videos tomorrow. Our internet is out, which is making things like sharing photos pretty difficult.
Today was the Holton Carnival. We all went and got to see A do an amazing Improv show – she was fantastic – and sampled M&A's baking and cooking and saw M's pottery and gimp creations. We love the Holton Carnival and always look forward to meeting the girls' friends and counselors and seeing what they've learned and created. They love Holton Camp, but this may be their last year.
I have lots of photos that I can share this weekend.
Today was also N's last day of Temple Sinai! He had his last day of camp today, and he's not going back in the fall. So we're done with TSNS until Sunday School. We are wistful but excited about Lafayette in a few weeks.
I am so happy to be home. It has been fun hanging out with everyone tonight watching the Olympics and being able to be with the kids and help out!
N has been very entertaining today. He said so many funny things, each of which was blogworthy. Here is one of my faves: I took a nap today because I had basically pulled an all-nighter on the redeye. N said that it was good that I took a nap, because sleeping helps you grow. He said Daddy told him that he would grow if he sleeps, and that Daddy also said that he (Daddy) isn't growing any more. Then he said that I am still growing because I am younger than Daddy.
Much more to post about Carnival and the play, but I'll sign off with this family selfie tonight:
