Today we accomplished most of what we wanted to accomplish here at The Homestead. After we woke up, Daddy went and had a massage, and I took the kids to play miniature golf. It was a little chilly but we played all 18 holes.
Then we had lunch at The Casino restaurant, which we'd wanted to try yesterday but we had to curtail because of the horseback ride. Yummy.
Then the girls and I went on a 2+ hour hike in the mountains. We had a great time! Our guide was very entertaining and we learned all kinds of stuff ("If there are three, leave them be. If there are five, you'll survive." "If the root is hairy, be very wary.") He also made a lot of punny jokes. We had a lot of fun and the scenery was gorgeous. Very remote, lots of waterfalls.
When we got back, we went swimming in the outdoor pool, even though it was like 60 degrees outside. And then we went to a lovely dinner about 10 minutes away at a restaurant called The Waterwheel.
A concocted an elaborate April Fool's Day joke which she unleashed on Daddy today. It was very entertaining and I will write about it on April Fool's Day.
Tomorrow we are going to Monticello en route home.
Tired.
