The great irony about a going to a blogging conference is that you don't have any time to blog when you're there! I am back from a few days at BlogHer. It was a good few days – very useful and interesting – but I am happy to be home!!
Last night Daddy took the girls on a camping trip with some other dads. It sounds like they had a great time. Not much sleep (too hot, too many crickets, uncomfortable), but they had a lot of fun doing things like making smores, singing around a campfire, swimming in a lake, and hanging out with Daddy. I will upload some pictures this week.
After they got back from camping, I met them at home and they had quick baths. Then it was off to the Kennedy Center to see Mary Poppins with Grandma Sandy. We enjoyed it a lot – espeically the part where Bert "walked" up the sides and across the top of the stage. That was very cool. And when Mary floated off the stage at the end. M had seen it before in NY last fall with Grandpa Ron and Grandma Dina, but A was sick that day and had to miss it. So now they've both seen it. The girls wore their souvenir shirts from NY when they saw it today:
Here's what you missed with the kitchen last week – microwave is in, walls are drywalled, and new cabinet door is in:
I love love love cabinets with the semi-seethrough glass!
Welcome back!
Welcome home! Sometimes it’s good to get away because it’s always wonderful to come back home. What fun M and A must have had camping out with daddy. Your kitchen is really taking shape. Enjoy.
Love,
Aunt Ann
