Jigsaw Friday

It has been a long week, not just in this house but in the country. Thankfully, it ended tonight with the capture of the suspect in Boston. The girls watched some of the coverage on TV tonight and had a lot of good questions for us about why the events in Boston happened. Many of them we had no answers for. I hate that we live in a time when I have to wait until the girls are upstairs to turn on the news. I guess they are getting to that age where they can handle it.

Invites for the girls birthday are out! Family invites went via paper; friend invites went via electronic invite. So far we have 4 people who haven't responded and 19 attending, no regrets.

The girls are the absolute best. They are so good with N; they are (usually) sweet to each other; they are smart and creative and imaginative; they are affectionate and sweet to us; and they are so much fun to be around! Report cards came home today and they were great! Will report them later this weekend – I am too tired to retype them tonight.

And N is the cutest baby boy ever. He is crawling everywhere and LOVES balls, as yesterday's video attests. He especially loves Lucky and watching him run around and play with toys. Tonight A was teasing Lucky with his monkey, and N was just laughing and laughing. He couldn't get enough.

En route home tonight, I stopped at Child's Play to get a birthday gift for a friend of the girls. While there, I decided to buy a 500 piece jigsaw puzzle. We have been wanting to do a puzzle for a while, but the girls have outgrown the ones in the basement (I think the biggest one is 200 pieces). So I got this one – 500 pieces:

It was the perfect thing to do tonight. We all worked on it and have made some good progress.

Ready for bed.
