We had a really fun weekend at home with all the kids here.
Things that happened:
We had a nice dinner Friday night at Resident near Dupont Circle. It is a pretty (but loud!) restaurant and we celebrated being together. (A is making a sour face on purpose.)
The girls went to see the Sidwell musical – Mean Girls – on Saturday night.
We had a nice brunch outside today:
N competed in a History Bee/Bowl at GDS. He came in second overall in the History Bee! We all got to see him compete, for the first time. He knew some really difficult answers and we are very proud of how well he did!
N and I went to see his friend Leo perform in a string ensemble concert tonight at Strathmore. It was thankfully very short! And Leo was good.
A spent lots of time with Hobart:
M helped me finish this very hard puzzle:
M is back at school after a pretty short train ride – “dorm sweet dorm” – and A just landed in LA. She ended up knowing lots of people on her flight.
We are very sad that the girls are gone. We’ll see A in a week when we go to LA, and hopefully M in mid May when she is done with exams.
