Here is how the girls spent their last day of summer vacation:
-Lots of time on their new phones, setting up ringtones, preferences, contacts, wallpaper etc. They picked some cute ringtones. They LOVE their new phones, love carrying them around. We are setting some ground rules about when they can use them and want to make sure they don't get used to having their phones on them all the time (especially when we are with other people). But we're glad that they will have phones on them tomorrow when they get on the bus.
-A little shopping. We picked up some stuff they needed at Lord & Taylor.
-Dinner at the Campers'.
-Getting school supplies ready for tomorrow and buying some more things they needed at Staples. We ran into Ellie there!
-A visit to Trader Joe's, which A claims she hasn't been to since she was 6. (Not true.) We found some good stuff for lunches. N loves the stickers there. Yesterday he said to me, "Mama, Safeway doesn't have stickers. Giant doesn't have stickers. Only Trader Joe's has stickers." (True.)
-Watching the Nats win!
Tomorrow is a big day! Middle school! I am so proud of the girls for being so enthusiastic and excited about school, learning, their teachers, new challenges, etc. They aren't really nervous or dreading; they're just eager. That's the best.
