Milan

TOday was a marathon day. We woke up in Lezzeno, packed up, and left amidst the first daytime rain we've seen there all week.

We drove about 90 minutes to Milan, stopped at our hotel and dropped off our bags, and then headed out for a long walking tour. We saw The Last Supper, Milan's Castle/Fort, La Scala, the Duomo and the Galleria shopping area. The city is very classy and fashionable. It was a ton of walking and we are all exhausted! It's now 10:16 and we are back at the hotel, getting ready for bed. Tomorrow is another long marathon day – flying west and then driving home from Newark. We hope the kids get some sleep tonight!

The tour today was interesting but a little hard to understand with the guide's thick accent. We all listened via headphones so we could stretch out on the street if needed. The guide loved N; she told him he was very cute, and he said to her, "And I'm smart too!"

Must sleep. No time for pix tonight.
