M had her trip to the State Department today for Model UN. She had to be at school at 7:15 and took the metro down to Foggy Bottom with the other kids who were participating in Model UN. She represented Senegal and her proposal had to do with climate change. She had to present it to the delegates, who then voted on it. It didn't pass, but she learned a lot and had a great time downtown. I asked her if she wants to be a diplomat when she grows up, and she said she didn't think so.
But she looked great:
The girls had very long days today despite a half day of school. A had 4 hours of rehearsal and then decided to skip dance because she was so tired. M didn't return from Model UN until 4, but she went to ballet from 6-8:45. These girls have a lot of stamina!
I am off to Boston tomorrow for my law school reunion so I won't post til Sunday. It's a busy weekend of soccer game, ballet, Sunday School, book club and soccer for N.
