We got more great emails and notes today:
What a lovely ceremony and party Saturday night! Thank you for including me in the festivities. Your girls are so delightful, as well as smart. So much to cherish. – Loraine

We had such a wonderful time in DC this past weekend – thank you for having us. Your girls are so poised and intelligent (and beautiful of course) – no doubt products of amazing parenting. As you have probably heard many times, they performed impeccably (I was never that good at 13). You not only looked spectacular, but your words were so sweet and inspiring – I hope your kids know what great parents they have. I am so sorry we did not get to hang out with you, Dan and the kids, but at least we got to spend time with your dad, jon, annie, rachel and sarah. It is too bad that we do not live closer as i know our families would have a lot of fun together. Life is just so crazy (as you well know) – my sister lives an hour away and we do not even see her as much as we should. I hope you are basking in the afterglow of the weekend. And I hope we get to see you guys sometime in the near future. Love to all. Michael and Kelly

It was such an honor to be included in Alexa and Maddie's b'nai mitzvah. I know you must be proud but I can assure you that an entire community is grateful that two amazingly well-parented young women are stepping up to carry us all forward. My heart went out to you both as you addressed your daughters as the adults the ceremony recognizes them to be (for my own part, I wept inconsolably as Aidan and Helen left for college — you want to be able to squeeze so much more love into their childhood but time simply runs out). Again, thank you for your generosity — I am humbled by your daughters and your entire family. – Joe Hennessey

Here are pics of N at the party, taken by Kornelia, who took care of him all night:
Finally, how cute are these emails from N's teacher?
We are continuing our study on healthy bodies. This week's focus was on Safety and doctors.
On Monday we talked about emergencies. We sorted pictures about emergency or not an emergency. We then talked about what to do during an emergency. We practiced dialing 911. Last Tuesday, we saw a puppet show by the Blue Sky Puppet Company. The show was able to actively engage the kids and teach them about exercise, eating right, and going to the doctor. We also talked about how even though medicine is good for you, you should not ever take any without your parents permission. We will talk about bike safety and we will get the balance bikes out and practice on them soon.

We will be going on a walking trip to Safeway on Thursday April 6th.
The children will be purchasing a piece of fruit from Safeway as part of their field trip experience. We will make fruit salad when we return to school. Please send $2.00 to school to purchase the fruit at Safeway.
