Today was the day of M' s announcement at school. She did a great job and we are so proud of her!! Here is a video and a bunch of pictures of M's announcement, including a picture of her with her principal, Ms. Main.

Grampy and Nana brought over ANOTHER set of American GIrl dolls tonight – Kanani and Elizabeth – and two beds. This is big news!! I put the beds together, and they look adorable. Each bed has two dolls in it. They remind me of when the girls sleep in the same bed. I will take some pictures tomorrow. Thanks, Nana and Grampy!!!!

M asked me tonight if I am too old to try out for American Idol.

The freezer cleanout continues!!! Two nights ago, I took a package of frozen shrimp and made a recipe that has corn and shrimp stir-fried over rice, with a soy/sesame/vinegar sauce. It was yummy. I also finished off another pack of frozen oatmeal for breakfast, defrosted a package of English muffins, gave the girls the rest of a carton of ice cream, and made some frozen asparagus risotto which I supplemented with steamed fresh asparagus. We have a long way to go, but we're getting much closer to having a useable freezer.

Tonight, A ate ice cream, then a peppermint chocolate candy, and THEN a whole bunch of asparagus. She said she likes the asparagus best! THEN she ate an apple and some soy milk. What an appetite.

M needed to write two sentences with nouns for homework tonight. She wrote, "M didn't know why her class didn't give her a standing "O" after her announcement today. I am a little mad at my mom." She is (understandably) mad at her class for not acknowledging her announcement, but her being mad at me was uncalled for, because all I did was say she couldn't have her SECOND dessert until after dinner.
