Today we decided it was time for a little culture, and we went to the newly reopened Renwick Gallery downtown. The lines were crazy, but we saw some very cool large installations. It's hard to explain what the exhibits look like. There are pics on Daddy's camera which I will try to share tomorrow. The waits were very long and it was very cold, but N handled it well. We went out to lunch at Chopt afterwards and Daddy got N a sandwich from the Grilled Cheese Bar next door. The girls had big salads.
We have had a very busy weekend! In addition to the stuff I listed yesterday, we did some projects at home, met with a vegetable garden consultant, met with a second BM party planner, and did some other stuff here. The girls are ready for school tomorrow, with a possible winter storm at the end of the week. It's the last week of the advisory, so things will change next week. And the girls have a half day on Friday.
After nap today, N was up and playing with the girls. I was working in the den, and I heard a lot of laughter and activity in their room. Suddenly I heard a door slam loudly, and N showed up in my den wanting to be entertained. I said, "N, did the girls shut the door on you? You go back in there and tell them that you are their little brother, and that they can't do that to you! If you want to be in there, they need to let you in!" And he said, "But Mama, I closed the door to them!!" We had a good laugh.
A has been coming up with names for ice cream and cupcake stores. She has come up with some very cute names. I will include them in my next post.
M stayed up til 3:30 last night finishing a book that she started at 4PM.
Back to the grind tomorrow!
