I've had lots of fun with N this weekend while we've been solo. Here are some things that have happened here:

• N requested pina colada muffins – yes they exist in our muffin cookbook – so that's what I made tonight. They sound gross – dried pineapple, banana, lime zest and coconut on top – but they are pretty good!
• N took a squash lesson today and he liked it! I am hoping that this may be a new sport for him. The instructor said that he was really good for a kid and for a beginner. 
• N asked if I would make the Sunday trivia contest for the family so that he could play along for once. So I did. And the winner this week… is our usual winner: Alexa! She always wins. The questions were hard this week.
• We went to TJs and Safeway and bought all of N's favorites. I can't say either was a particularly healthy trip.
• N did 2.5 hours of pickleball Friday night with the oldsters. People always ask if he's my son and then say nice things about him.
• N came to bootcamp with me yesterday AM. There was a lot of running and he did a great job.
• Yesterday was the Greg Gannon food drive and we drove around and picked up the bags of food that we had left out on Wednesday evening for people to fill. We collected 152 cans of food -from about 25% of the houses we dropped bags off at. We also went to a little service at Blessed Sacrament before setting out to pick up the cans, with all the other volunteers. A new experience for both of us. We did NOT win the Christmas tree raffle, but thought it would have been funny if we had.
• We also saw some of Grandma this weekend, and Michigan won the finals yesterday, and we sang a lot of silly songs to Hobart, and we listened to Rob Has A Podcast, and we've just generally had a lot of fun.

N has no school tomorrow so he's having a friend from GDS over in the afternoon.

I am going to Vegas for work tomorrow and am sad to leave N – we've had a lot of fun. He's the best.

The girls are busy with the end of semester and finals and projects and scenes. A did manage to drive around LA tonight with a friend and sent us these pics:
