M competed in National History Day yesterday at the National Archives. She went down with Daddy at 9, did an interview about her paper, toured around the Archives, went back to Daddy's office, had lunch at Shake Shack, did homework at the office, and then returned with Daddy for the awards ceremony in the afternoon. Apparently it was very close, but only 2 out of the people in her category moved on to nationals and M was not one of them. But she did win a special award for the best annotated bibliography.
