New Year’s Eve

We are having a very quiet New Year's Eve here in Curacao. We had dinner tonight with Ron and Dina and Deb/Jonathan/Olivia/Ben, and are now back at our nice quiet house overlooking the water. Unfortunately. D/J/O/B are leaving very early tomorrow AM, so we will be without cousins and playmates tomorrow. Today we went to a very beautiful beach and did a lot of swimming and snorkeling. M decided not to go in the water and sat reading her book the whole time. Wonder where she got that from? A, meanwhile, was in the water the whole time, like a fish. Wonder where SHE got that from? They are their parents' children.

It is very relaxing here. While I think we are ready to come home, we've had a nice break from the busy routine at home. And we've had a lot of fun being with family.

A few quick updates on little N:

  • He is sleeping wonderfully here. Most nights 12-13 hours straight and then 1-2 naps during the day. It has been amazing.
  • He has a second tooth coming in! His bottom left. A discovered it this AM.
  • He did some good swimming in the pool today with Daddy.
  • He is getting a lot more vocal about his desires. If you try to take away something he wants, he will make a loud protest.
  • He is very close to crawling!
  • He is beyond adorable and we all love him so much. He is especially enamored of his sisters, and enjoyed being around his only boy cousin Ben today.

Happy last night of 2012! We hope that 2013 brings wonderful things to those we love.
