Today was a big day in our house.
N is participating in a covid vaccine trial! He got a half dose of Moderna vaccine today, and will get another dose in a month. He will be tracked carefully in a trial by our pediatrician's office, including checkups, phone calls and bloodwork, over the next 12 months. He considered very carefully whether he wanted to participate, asked a lot of really good, analytical questions. In the end he decided to do it. He is a pioneer! And we are glad that he has covid-fighting serum flowing through his veins.
M took her US History AP today. It is a big relief to have it over with. She also got her visa from the Taiwanese consulate today. Her program is a bit in jeopardy right now because the country is closed to visitors – even vaccinated – until June 18 and she is supposed to leave June 21. We're watching the situation.
