Last day in Duck – so sad!
We made the most of it:
- swimming in the morning – N dangled his toes and the girls did a synchronized swimming routine with Daddy
- reading on the deck
- visit to my favorite bookstore, Island Books
- French toast
- sand castle building in the late afternoon
- runs for me and Daddy
- nachos and shrimp scampi for dinner (clean out the fridge meal)
We've had a great week here and we are sad to leave, though the girls are excited about starting school on Monday so they are looking forward to getting back. Here are my favorite memories of this week:
- N's smiles, and how sweet the girls have been with him
- N's sleeping – 9:30-6:30 last night!!!
- the pool – both girls diving, and A swimming the length of the pool underwater
- A doing gymnastics routines in the pool and pretending to be various members of the 2012 Olympic team
- popsicles
- Duck Donuts
- the girls doing cartwheels on the beach
- M and A's book club, where M reads out loud to A before bed or in the afternoon
- various craft projects and puzzles
- N in the Baby Bjorn on the beach
- reading on the deck
