OBX Vacation

I am writing this sitting in our rental in Corolla on the last day we will be here. It's gray and rainy, a nice day to be inside listening to the waves pound the beach. We've had a nice few days here. It isn't Cancun, but it's a close second. Here are some of the things we've done here this week:

  • Nice long walks and runs on the beach with Hobart
  • Delicious dinner last night at our favorite restaurant, Aqua
  • Digging on the beach
  • Mini golf (me, Dad and N)
  • Visit to Island Bookstore
  • Codenames
  • Hot tub (a little)
  • Shells
  • Climbing the lighthouse (me and N)
  • Hoverboarding on the tennis court while Hobart ran around off leash
  • A little baseball catch (M and N)
  • Acai bowls and Duck Donuts
  • Some souvenir gear for me and N
  • A lovely dinner at the Duck home of a teacher from Sidwell who I randomly charged my car next to on Sunday. What are the odds? A is friends with his daughter Delia (11th grade) and they invited us for dinner, Hobart included. It was really fun. Plus he let me charge my car there.

So it has been a nice vacation. Thankfully A is feeling much better.
