The mail brought some surprises today.
First was a CD-ROM I ordered – I Spy Jr. – for the girls. It's like the I Spy book series – you have to find various objects hidden in a picture. (In the pre-school version, they aren't that tough to find). The good thing is - the game is teaching the girls how to use the touch pad on the computer, double-click, etc. I feel like a lot of kids their age are more familiar with computers than they are. I know there is plenty of time, but I think it's good that they are starting to use it more.
The second was a package from California. It was from a woman who writes a blog I really like called Cluttercast. She is ridding herself of years of accumulated clutter in her house by giving things away via her blog. If you see something you want, you comment on her site and make a case for why you should have it. She recently posted about a collection of porcelain dolls that her daughter had never played with. I commented and said that M&A like porcelain dolls, and she sent me two of them! They arrived today. The only thing you have to do in return is send a picture of the items in your house, which I will do later this week.
We are leaving for NJ tomorrow to see Jonathan, Liz, Sarah and Rachel. The girls are extremely excited.
Finally, here are some photos from Buppie.
I’m sure all of you will have a great time in New Jersey. Sarah and Rachel must love having M and A there, like big sisters caring for little sisters, and I am sure M and A love it too. Have fun.
Love,
Aunt Ann
