One Down, One to Go

So here’s the Halloween update. When I got back from my trip, A still wanted to be an alligator, though she was starting to mention dinosaur more often. M no longer wanted to be a penguin or bunny, but had glommed on to alligator. Because I hate matchy-matchy identical stuff, I discouraged that. Finally she settled on Clifford. So I went onto eBay and added an alligator and a Clifford to my watch list.

Then, today, I went to a consignment sale and found a dinosaur costume in their size. So I bought it. I hadn’t planned on showing it to the girls until later, but A found it as I went through the bags of stuff with them, and fell in love with it. She put it on (very cute) and started saying, "Who shall I eat first? First Mommy. Then Allie. Then M." M pretended to be scared and screamed when A came over. M wondered, of course, where her costume was – must get that Clifford soon. Luckily I had also picked up a Wiggles guitar at the sale, so she had plenty to occupy herself with.

So maybe we are close… a month early… on Halloween.

Funny mispronunciation tonight: A called Cinderella "Cindagrella."

A has been very entertaining tonight. She told me that she has 2 dogs: Banjo and Poncho. Then M said that she has many dogs: Lulu, Pot, Peek, Tam, Mosha, Lulu, Toodoo, Peek, Pot, Tam (you get the picture). After M had said many repeating names, A looked at her and said, "M, I think that’s enough dogs."
