Tonight, as part of their homework, the girls had to come up with words that start with P-U-M-P-K-I-N. M, as usual, raced through it. A, on the other hand, lingered and stalled, only settling for words that no one else in her class would have thought of. Here are the lists:
M:
potty, umbrella, Madeleine (the cookie), punch, kangaroo, ink, nap
A:
potty, underpants, mohawk, party, Kalamazoo, igloo, nincompoop
Both girls scored 100% on their first spelling tests last week.
Today was the first day of Mad Science after school, which happens on Monday afternoons. A said she liked it, M said she didn't because "all I got was a marshmallow". (?)
This is a short week. Half day on Thursday, and it's the day of the Halloween parade. No school on Friday.
Thanks for sharing how well both M and A are doing in school. I knew they were both exceptionally smart. Have fun on Halloween.
Love,
Aunt Ann
