We're trying to cling to normalcy here despite the events of the week.
Today, the kids were home because of Veterans Day. M&A had a birthday party from 11-2 in Rock Creek Park. They had a great time, and I was thrilled that they spent three hours outside instead of hanging around in the house. I thought it ended at 1 so I spent about an hour there too, unexpectedly. I left the girls on their own but they were having a blast playing games, taking photos, and enjoying a fall day in the park.
N and I had some quality time this afternoon too because Imogene had to leave early and I was home. We looked for sheet sets for his upcoming new bed and he explored the Shutterfly albums for Yellow Base. We also organized all of the papers he has brought home this year and put them in a binder, which he likes to flip through and look at.
Tonight we went to see Urinetown at Wilson. It is a dark and not easy musical, but also clever, with a lot of Broadway references in it. The girls sorta got it but didn't love it.
Here are the girls at the party:
They took so many great pics; I should be posting theirs!
Here are some pics from Ellie's phone from last night. She came over here and watched a movie with the girls since there was no school today.
(This last one is based on a Kendall Jenner Instagram pic that we had seen in a funny post where a guy photoshopped himself into a ton of Kendall's photos.)
