Pre-Snowmageddon

Tonight we went to Parents Night at Deal, where we got to read the students' monster stories told from the perspective of the monsters. A wrote a story about Unferth and A wrote a story about Firedrake, both from Beowulf. All of the 6th grade families went to the cafeteria and went table to table and read some of the stories. We could leave feedback for the students next to the reports. There were snacks there too. N had a great time running around with the girls and meeting some of their friends and teachers. I will share the girls' feedback pages when they get them.

Tomorrow is the end of the term and both girls have all As or A-'s . We got to see the poster with their names on the Principal's Honor Roll list – so proud!

M has gotten to miss lots of ballet. Monday was MLK Day. Tonight she had Deal Parents Night (and we were told girls who didn't come tonight would be excused bc of weather). And now WSB is closed Fri-Sun because of Snowmageddon. Who knows what Monday will bring? A had ballet today and Seber isn't closed yet for tomorrow but I am sure it will be. No Sunday School on Sunday, no Winter Concert on Sunday, and likely no book club on Saturday either. If our electricity holds, it should be fun…
