Wow – what a day! This morning I ran a ten-miler. Daddy and Grampy and the girls came and cheered me on at Mile 5 1/2 and 7 1/2. It was such a treat to see all of them!
After the race I met Daddy and the girls at Daddy’s office, where we played as much hide-and-seek as my tired legs would allow. Then we came home and the girls had a little Wiggles-fest while I took a little nap and Daddy worked. Then Daddy left for the airport – he’s out of the country for work for a few days. M&A and I went to Target in search of sheets and shoes for Aunt Darrah’s wedding. We didn’t find the shoes, but we did buy:
- ruby slippers and silver slippers (aka crack for pre-school girls – it’s like a magnetic force that brings them together)
- new plate and bowl to match some that Imogene got them recently
- a pair of sunglasses for M, which she doesn’t need at all
- two pairs of "school shoes"
- new shampoo and conditioner
- an evening purse for me
- a new drainboard
(I love Target!)
Then we met Buppie for dinner, and she came and helped me put the girls down as well – Thanks Buppie!
Here are some photos from the race:
Congratulations, Gayle! Sounds like the race was only the beginning of a very busy day! It’s great that the girls could watch you accomplish this feat!
Take care.

Dina and Ron
Congrats on running such a long race!
Congratulations on running a great race. I’m so proud of you. I’m sure M and A were thrilled to see mommy race. The photos are great. Thanks for sharing them.
Love,
