It's funny to hear your own expressions come back at you from your kids.
Here is a conversation I had with N this morning as I walked him into school:
N: I love you so much, Mommy.
Me: N, I love hearing that. Do you know why?
N: Why?
Me: Well, first, I love you so much too!
N: And second?
Me: Second, it makes me feel good that you love me back.
N: And third, I'm so smart. And fourth, I am also so cute.
I guess I tell him those things a lot!

Tonight, M made apple balls and dipped into honey for a dessert. She offered one to N, and he said, "No, thank you. Those are for Hanukah."

N made a lot of poops on the potty tonight before bed. Yay! After the first one, he went downstairs to get fruit cookies (shortbread with jam in them from TJs). I didn't oversee it, and he must have left the container open on the floor, because when I came downstairs, Lucky had eaten almost all of the remaining cookies. N doesn't know yet.

The girls went to puzzle club after school today for the first time! They said it was pretty fun, but that they did more talking than puzzling. The puzzle is a 1,000-piece puzzle of the US Capitol.
