Report Card Reports

We had a typical Saturday today. The girls had ballet and rehearsal, and then went to Grandma's for piano lessons. N and I went to see Nana and Grampy, then came home for nap, and then ran some errands at Container Store. We had dinner at home, N took a bath, and the girls and I are now watching The Grand Budapest Hotel. A tells me that this is their first rated R movie. They did not want to see The Theory of Everything or Whiplash or Selma or Still Alice, so here we are.

Here are the girls' awesome report card comments:

"M is a pleasure to have in class. She is intelligent, responsible, hard working and engaged during class. She works well with others, is positive and kind. M earned a 100% in Writing this quarter! This includes spelling tests, book summaries, speaking homework, and her letter to the author. She is very thoughtful with her work and is great at asking for help or clarification when she needs it. We appreciate M's hard work. She consistently completes wordly wise test corrections, even if she only had one or two errors. Additionally, M exceeds expectations on assignments. For example, if an assignment asks for one piece of text evidence, she will provide two. We would like to see M continue to challenge herself this coming quarter. M is a wonderful student and her peers benefit from her contributions in class. We are happy to have her as a member of our classroom community.

"A is a pleasure to have in class. She is responsible with homework and classword. She always puts forth her best effort even if it takes a longer time; great work ethic and perseverance. A also does a great job at being attentive during class by asking questions, making thoughtful contributions, and trying to keep others on task as well. A would benefit from continuing to challenge herself in math and by completing wordly wise corrections (even if she only has a few errors) to work toward mastery of vocabulary. Overall A is a wonderful student and we are looking forward to seeing more of her accomplishments this coming quarter."
