Last night was one of those nights that reminds me of when the girls were babies. I am that tired. I went to bed late to start with, and then A woke up several times around 4 AM. I think she’s still a little under the weather, and she’s also going through a serious bout of separation anxiety. (For example, she gets very upset if we even leave the house to take out the trash – even though she can see us the whole time.) She was up a lot, and we were up a lot, and I was very tired today.
Ribbit the Frog is back in our house! A brought it home from school today, which means that M is next. Ribbit is a stuffed frog who will spend 2 nights in our house. Whoever brings Ribbit home writes a story about Ribbit in the Ribbit Book. Here is the story Ribbit wrote tonight:
It is my turn to sleep with Ribbit. Ribbit likes to play. He likes to play with Legos and cars and bouncy ballys and dress-up clothes. Ribbit goes to school on Monday. Ribbit likes snowflake music from The Nutcracker. Ribbit plays guitar and trumpet and violin too. And cello.
Ribbit likes to go to the zoo He likes to see gorillas and monkeys and giraffes and cows. Ribbit is wearing a tutu. Ribbit likes to dress up as a ballerina and a gorilla. Ribbit has a lot of friends – Josh and Gabriel. He likes to eat pickles.
Today, Ribbit did dress up with Abigail. Now Ribbit is going to bed.
A also did a drawing of Ribbit on yellow paper, which I put in the book.
It sound like A is having fun with Ribbit. Hope she feels better.
