Saturday Spelling

Busy Saturday! The girls woke up early today – around 7. We had oatmeal, and then Daddy took them to gymnastics so that I could run some errands (including setting up A’s old crib at our friend Matt’s house – his wife had a baby a few days ago). Then lunch at home… then nap… then off to the playground to hang out with Addie and Frank. The girls rode their bikes and did a lot of climbing on the jungle gyms.

After the playground we went to a new Indian restaurant in our neighborhood. I wasn’t sure how child-friendly the place was (turns out, not very), but the girls were very, very good. They ate lots of naan and rice, plus a decent amount of chicken and the tomato sauce from something I ordered. We were very proud of how adventurous they were in terms of eating. However, I was most proud when the owner of hte restaurant came up to us on our way out and said that the girls were incredibly well-behaved, that he had never seen kids who were that good. That made us very happy!

The rhyming continues… nonstop. "How about trash and mash?" etc etc etc.

Tonight, M said she doesn’t like to take baths. (This is the first I have heard of that.) I asked her why. She said, well, because baths are wet.

RIght now they are upstairs, still awake (10:13 PM), talking about letters and spelling.

I think this post confirms that your girls are already more adventurous eaters than I am. Impressive!

I, too, am so proud of the girls, the way they behave and how they react in different situations. So grown up! I love all of you.
