Separation Anxiety

The little boy is starting to have a little bit more separation anxiety. Yesterday, I told N that when he woke up from his nap, the girls and I wouldn't be home. Before I could tell him who would be here, he got very upset and told me he didn't want to know. He didn't even want me to say her name. And then, when it happened and he woke up and Julia was here, she said he cried for 30 minutes. I felt so bad for both of them! HE is fine with people he is very comfortable with, but he gets upset when he's with other people.

Today, we had a delayed start at TSNS, and the school had recommended that we use the school dropoff line given the weather. We had never used dropoff before – I always take him into school – and he didn't like it at all. We had to call his teacher to come out and get him (instead of walking in with Perri, who was holding his hand), and even then he was sad. It was so hard to leave him but my car was blocking a while line of cars.

He has also gotten more expressive about things like being tired ("I'm sleepy"), having a wet diaper, and even tonight, being bored. I am not sure if that was what he was saying, but it really sounded like he was saying that he had gotten bored with playing with the matchbox cars.

He also really likes marshmallows.

Here are some cute things that M made. First are two cupcakes which are meant to be the pigs and daisies from Alice in Wonderland, and second, N's name on the doodler.
