Shattered Dreams

Among the many things the girls did this week: draw a design for the Spring Fair t-shirt contest. It was due today, and the girls had a lot of other work to do due today, including their animal report for the state fair project. At about 9:30 last night, M said she had to do her drawing. A decided to help her. What ensued was typical of the girls… M worked on the drawing and told A what to do, and alternated between complimenting A and being very grateful, and yelling at A and telling her she wasn't doing it right. Daddy was upset about all the yelling, but the girls were totally fine with it and thought that it all went very smoothly. But unfortunately it was getting late and at 10:30 Daddy made them go upstairs and go to bed. On the way up, M told Daddy that he was "shattering [her] dreams of winning the competition.". (She says now that she was kidding.)

The girls decided to set their alarm for 6:25 AM so that they could get up and finish the drawing. When I got home from boot camp at 6:50, all the downstairs lights were on and they were up working on the drawing. And they finished it before school! Here it is:
