We are in Shohola! We're having a lovely weekend here. We had a very long ride yesterday – almost 8 hours – but once we got here it has been very relaxing. Today, the girls swam a bit in the lake, and Daddy, A and I went out for a kayak ride in the late afternoon. M finished another book – Harriet the Spy (my childhood fave!), and A is reading her summer reading book. We celebrated Daddy's AND N's birthdays tonight with the usual Feldman smorgasbord of desserts – a red velvet cupcake for N, a chocolate mousse/ganache/cake for Daddy, and blueberry pie for me. Thanks to Dina for the great desserts!

N has been so cute and easy, and had a great nap today – 3 hours! He needed it, even though he had slept til 10AM. He didn't get much sleep yesterday and had a late night, so we were happy that he got lots of sleep today.

Tomorrow Daddy and I will head back to DC with N, and the girls will stay here til Tuesday or Wednesday and have some time with Grandma Dina and Grandpa Ron. Tomorrow they may go to the NJ State Fair, after a nearby ice cream social.

In other Friday news, the girls had a playdate in the AM, and N got a haircut.
