Mondays now have a new significance in the girls' classroom. It is Show, Share and Tell day, in which each kid brings something special from home and tells the class about it. At first, the girls said they wanted to bring Piggy and Bunny (A) and Baby and Blankie (M) to the first Show, Share and Tell day on Monday, but then I suggested the nutcrackers, and now that's what they want to bring. Of course, this is now happening every Monday (note to self: set a recurring meeting notice for Mondays at 8:30 AM as a reminder!), so they can bring P&B and B&B another week. The nutcrackers, however, cannot wait for another week. The notice that came home from the school says that the Show, Share and Tell item will be put immediately back into the tote bag after the session – whew!
A has not been gaining weight at all over the last few months. She eats – as much if not more than M. But there are now 5 pounds separating the girls, and they're pretty much the same height. Of course we are in between pediatrician appointments. Wondering if it is worth an appointment with Dr. Fink just to talk it through. She's so skinny. Wears size 4T, even 3T sometimes.
I encouraged A to take a nap in the sun today on the couch, like Allie the dog was doing. I told her a secret – she and I, unlike Daddy and Maddie, are actually part dog. That's why we love dogs so much.
