Sidwell Course Selection Day

The girls are off to Pennsylvania with Genevieve for 2 nights. They are staying at her family's lake house. Daddy will get them on Sunday so that they can be back here for a sleepover with Amanda on Sunday night.

A had her curriculum meeting at Sidwell this morning. We had a VERY long talk about whether she should do music (chorus OR jazz ensemble) or acting. Very hard for A when she is so talented in so many areas. We left it that she'd sign up for chorus but that we will talk to the music director and have him hear her play. She signed up for Geometry and Biology 1, and is otherwise doing the standard 9th grade curriculum.

Tonight was a beautiful night. Daddy and I went to a very rare late afternoon movie, and then we stopped back here at home so that we could play baseball and ladderball in the backyard with N, who had wanted us to do that for a while. Then we went out and got dinner. Grandma Sandy stayed here with N. They played ladderball and Connect Four and read two books: Leo The Late Bloomer and Horton Hatches The Egg.

Thank you Grandma!
