It has been a singing kind of day!

A had a voice lesson this afernoon. She sang "Castle On The Cloud" from Les Miserables, which her teacher Andrew assigned to her to sing. She only got the lyrics this morning and heard the song yesterday, so he was very impressed with how quickly she picked it up.

After the lesson, the girls and I went to see "20 Feet from Stardom", which is about background singers, many from famous rock bands/songs. The girls got *most* of it. I think they were a little restless but they generally enjoyed it.

And now we are watching "Pitch Perfect", which is about a capella singers.

We had a lovely al freco dinner – pizza from Homemade Pizza, gazpacho and corn. Then we made "orange floats" for dessert.

It is hot here today. Daddy took the little boy to get a haircut, and his hair is very short. I think he looks adorable.
