Snail and Pinata

Today, when I got home from work, A was dragging two green Mardi Gras necklaces that were tied together in a knot. She looked up and said, "I have a snail. See? It’s on the ground looking up at me. See?"

I love her imagination.

It was also Pinata Day at camp. From what I have pieced together from M & A, their room had a pinata shaped like a pirate.  All of the kids sat around, while one of their counselors hit the pinata with "a piece of wood." (According to M, the other counselor didn’t do it because she "isn’t strong enough.")  Then, out of the pinata came candy, animals and "pom-poms." They each came home with a goody bag full of candy.

A said that she was scared of the pinata.

Tonight M ate a lollipop and a red Jolly Rancher. A had two lollipops. (All from the pinata haul).
