We are SO PROUD of the girls. It was the Deal Spelling Bee today. They each won their homeroom's spelling bee and moved ahead to the final bee, which was made up of 84 spellers in grades 6-8.

How did they do?

A came in NINTH and M came in SEVENTH!!! How great is that? Out of 84 spellers. We are very proud of them.

SOme words A got: bossa nova, all-star, quid pro quo, mustang. She lost on heirloom.

A word M got: spectacles. (She can't remember the others.) The one she got out on: longanimity.

These girls are just the best. They were in good spirits after school and were happy for the people who won.

We celebrated tonight by making brownies and doing math homework.
