Spelling Bee Tomorrow!

Tomorrow is the spelling bee! We haven't been quizzing M that much as we could, because we don't want this to be a stressful experience. 3rd graders can't go from this bee to the regional bee (only 4th and 5th graders can move on). So this is really practice for next year. We're just so proud of her that she is willing to get up on stage and do it! Tonight she has been saying "I A-M V-E-R-Y S-C-A-R-E-D!"

This weekend is the inauguration. Last time, we were all very excited and went downtown and watched the swearing in from a rooftop near the Capitol. It was VERY cold. Then we went to Grampy's office to watch the parade. Here are some pics:

This year we have another little citizen to join the festivities. We don't want him to be outside in the cold too much but hopefully we will make it to the parade.

Finally, happy birthday Grandpa Ron!!! We hope you had a great birthday!

Thank you, Gayle! We had a great time: dinner at Daniel and jazz at the Blue Note! (And, NYC Ballet the night before!) We hope that we’ll be able to share our next birthdays with all of you.

Good luck, Maddie. Just getting into the spelling bee is a great accomplishment!
