Today was the Lafayette Spring Fair! It was the anchor of a fun and busy day. Here's what happened:
We took a look at the goody bags we put together last night:
I volunteered at the plant sale (and bought a bunch of herbs and tomato plants):
The girls spent an hour (!) waiting in line for this, their favorite ride:
N hung out in his stroller and looked cute. He also went on the little train that goes around the Lafayette track. I am not sure he enjoyed it.
We hung out with these guys:
We came home and made the tie dye cake. We ended up DOUBLING the recipe and then making TWO CAKES. That's 12 eggs, 2 packages of cake mix, and A LOT of food gel. But they make for cool photos. The girls were great sous-chefs.
Will post pics tomorrow of the cake once we cut it and you can see the tie-dye effect inside.
Grandma Dina and Grandpa Ron arrived in the late afternoon and we went out to dinner at Cafe Deluxe. They took A and Daddy out for Yogiberry afterwards while M, N and I came home to get N into the tub. Then we made the second cake.
So it has been a long but fun day! TOMORROW IS THE GIRLS' BIRTHDAY PARTY!
