So I am having trouble keeping my eyes open at night. Not sure why, when I don't do much during the day other than work. I wake up kind early to work out but it's not as early as I used to wake up. Regardless, I've been unable to stay awake to post the last two nights. Thankfully we bought a really uncomfortable chair for our bedroom that I now sit in when I want to ensure that I won't fall asleep, like right now.
This week has brought some welcome changes to the house. Imogene is back! This is great news. We missed her a lot and it's a huge help to have her here. She has been very careful, as have we, so we have determined that it's safe for her to be here (for her health and ours).
We also had a lot of beautiful plants planted in the backyard along the fence that has looked so bare and awful since we had the gas line installed. Jenna, our former neighbor, is a very talented landscape designer and she designed it and oversaw the installation. We can't wait for the plants to grow and bloom. Meanwhile, the garden is coming along. Next week we will have some bare patches of grass re-seeded and sodded, which will finish off the outdoor improvements for now.
M IS DONE WITH SCHOOL!
A has TWO more days and that's it!
And N has a week and a half.
Tonight N and I rode our bikes to his new school – Chevy Chase Elementary – and then biked around that neighborhood. His streak of biking continues! And we are watching Season 1 of The Mole. He loves it. He's still watching tons of baseball videos. I think that takes up about 2/3 of his day. Mostly Nats, mostly 2019 postseason.
Please, MLB, come back soon.
