Tonight I had a hard time getting the little boy out of the bathtub. I told him that if he didn't come out, then tomorrow morning we'd have to bring his teachers Kornelia and Katelyn, and the rest of the kids in the class, to the bathroom, and they'd have circle time and snack and story in the bathroom, and then Sally would come and do music class there, and it would be very crowded. Then we talked about other stories we could tell: the dentist appointment in the bathroom; the soccer practice in the bathroom; the summer camp in the bathroom. Then we decided that it would make a good book series: The Boy Who Wouldn't Come Out Of The Bathtub.
I got some books for N from the library last week and he has liked reading them a lot. Here are the books we got:
Lost and Found, about a boy and a penguin:
Too Many Toys, about a boy with too many toys:
The Lost (and Found) Balloon, about a girl who finds a new friend (next door!) by setting free a balloon that travels around the world
The Dog Who Belonged To No One, about a lonely little girl and a sad little dog who find each other
