Sunday Report

What a jam packed day!

This morning, we hung out at home for a while, and then went to the callbacks for the Nutcracker. They were a zoo. I can only hope that it becomes more organized over time!! We will find out on Wednesday what parts they got. Very exciting!

After the callbacks we hightailed it to Hannah's birthday party, but we were so late that we basically missed the whole thing. At least we got some cake! Then the girls had a playdate at Natalie's house, and then tonight, we had the parents from A's class over, as well as her teacher. It was very exciting tonight when her teacher came up to her and M's room, and saw all of their stuff. The girls were really happy to have her here. And M said, "I think it's good that they (A's teacher and the teacher's aide) got to know me a little better too."

We had a nice time meeting all the other parents, and we have some good leftovers too!

Some funny things from today:

  • I told the girls that they are the best, cutest, smartest and most adorable girls in the world. M said, "Well, all parents tell that to their kids. You aren't the only one who says that."
  • Tonight M called me a "fastypoke", meaning I do things quickly. Yep.
  • The girls told Natalie today that they love 80s music. Yay! Glad that I have indoctrinated them.
  • One of the parents told us tonight that her son had started telling her all these things that A had told him about the recent mayoral race. Apparently she had quite an impact on him.
  • We've been talking a lot about what names mean. As far as we know, A's middle name means "moon" in Hebrew.

Gearing up for another busy week!
