Sweet and Creative Saturday

Today was a fun Saturday. Early AM was devoted to Webkinz. A somehow adopted a new Webkinz animal without me having to buy one – not sure how she finagled that, unless it is part of the ubiquitous advertising for the new movie "Hop". Then the girls had ballet, and came home for a late lunch. (Daddy took them to ballet so I have no good anecdotes. He also made them lunch and breakfast!) This afternoon, I took them to my favorite cupcake place – Just Cakes – and we each had a delicious infusion of sugar. Then it was off to All Fired Up for some pottery painting. A made a large platter, which I helped glaze, and M made a martini glass. Then we headed over to the Koppel-Pollacks for dinner, which the Kohn-Murphys joined as well. We brought in Vietnamese food from Bethesda and had a nice evening while the kids watched a movie downstairs. M, of course, didn't like the movie and joined the adults halfway through, and then M&A played a game of Scattergories with me, which we had brought for the adults.

I am running the Cherry Blossom 10-miler in the morning, so I am off to bed. Very grateful to Daddy, who is bringing the girls down to cheer me on at Mile 4 1/2!

Night-night.
