Tandem Cooking

Uncle Jonathan and I did some tandem cooking tonight: we both made the same recipe for dinner from the weekly New York Times recipe newsletter. On Sunday, he told us he makes 4 of the 5 recipes every week, so we picked one and each made it tonight. Both of us said that the meal was yummy. But here are some differences:

J has super organized mise-en-place with fancy bowls and a nice pan, and he used homemade bread and chopped his onion and tomato into small cubes:

He also made it 90 minutes before I did.

My chopping is sloppy and inconsistent and everything is sort of cramped:

The recipe: Tunisian Shakshuka with Shrimp.

Tomorrow is N's half birthday! It's cold here. And the girls have a lot of work.
