The Aftermath

Thank you for the concerned calls and emails this morning (you know who you are). Perhaps I should have waited an hour before posting last night rather than pouring it all out right when the girls went to bed. Blog as therapy.

So let's have some cute stories tonight.

Tomorow is the Purim Parade. M has been excited to dress up for a while now, while A, who said until yesterday that she wasn't going to dress up, has decided that she will dress up after all.

I thought I had ordered new leotards for the girls a few weeks ago, but they haven't come yet. (I think the order never went through.) I told the girls yesterday that I would go on the internet and see what happened. A said, "That's a good idea! Go on the internet!" Then later I said I'd check on the computer to see what happened, and A said, "No! Go on the internet!"

Yesterday for Show Tell and Share, M brought a beautiful, fragile doll that has bells inside that Buppie brought them back from Russia when they were babies. It was so cute to hear her walking with her tote bag and hear the jangly bells in it. A didn't want to bring anything, which was her choice, but she says she will bring her porcelain pink doll nex week.

Tongiht M, who was already tired, got very upset because she and A were supposed to be getting married, and she was giving A one of their huge stuffed bears wrapped in a blanket as a wedding present. A saw the bear being wrapped, which made M very upset, to the point of tears. It was bathtime and M was crying over the unwrapped bear, which I had little patience for, as I watched the water cooling off.

Today I took an elderly friend of mine to get her taxes done at the library. M has known for a while that I have been trying to schedule this date to get my friend's taxes done. When I got home, she came running over to me and said, "Mommy! How did the taxes go?" I said, M, do you know what taxes are? She said no.

Cutest girls in the world.

How cute that the girls have lovely dolls to bring to their “show and tell” at school. I hope they enjoy the Purim Parade in their cute costumes. Mommy, it was so good of you to help an elderly person with getting her taxes done.
Love,
Aunt Ann
