The Esteemed Congresswoman from the Great State of Rhode Island

Hanukah went out with a bang tonight (yes, we are two nights behind). The girls got some good stuff – in addition to the GRAND PRIZE PIECE DE RESISTANCE COUP DE GRACE – tickets to see One Direction next June – they also got: a labelmaker (both), and airbrush kit (M), nail polish (A), and a 3rd grade weaving project (a present from M to M, complete with Happy Hanukah message on the outside).

In other news, at school M had to choose a state to be from at school today, and she was assigned to be the congressperson from that state. They talked about laws and how to judge whether they are fair or not. She chose Rhode Island, mostly because she wants to study photography at RISD (and maybe go to Brown). Mommy is not discouraging that plan. 🙂

Here are some pictures from the Hanukah party last night, taken by Aunt Tequila (the girls are all made up from the spa party they attended beforehand. M hated her eye makeup and made me take it off as soon as she got there):
