The Weekend By The Numbers

Sad to see the three-day weekend end. We had a lot of fun, and lots of hanging around and relaxing. We needed that.

So… without further ado:

Planned playdates that were cancelled: 2 (sleepover with Emily and afternoon playdate with Lily)

Unplanned playdates that took place: 2 (sleepover at Jessie's with Alida too, afternoon playdate with Emily)

Planned playdates that took place: 1 (with Jackson and M – she had an enh time, which I am sad to report, because he seemed very excited about it)

Desserts consumed: MANY. Lots of delicious cupcakes from Crumbles, a new cupcake bakery – YUM. Banana splits that I made today for M&A and Emily. Girl scout cookies.

Outstanding African-Americans that A will talk about during morning announcements on Wednesday: 1 – Michael Jackson (is she her mother's daughter or what?)

Classic board games that Daddy introduced the girls to: 1 – Monopoly

Things we talked about doing but didn't do this weekend: 3 (ice skating, swimming, wax museum)

Pages left of book club book for next weekend: 40 (halfway done) – The Fantastic Mr. Fox

Random TV shows that M is obsessed with: 1 (House of Anubis – weird, has Canadian written all over it)

New audiobook series that girls are obsessed with: 1 (Encyclopedia Brown)

Best thing said to me all weekend: "I couldn't ask for a better Mommy." (M, tonight)

Final note: A has come up with a game that she wants to introduce at the circus. It's called "Stomp on the Blackberry". The game entails people stepping on – and ruining – Blackberries. She said, at the end of the game, Daddy's Blackberry will be gone!

A’s game is the best I’ve ever heard of. I’d like to play it, too.
