The Weekend By the Numbers

This was supposed to be a mellow weekend, without that many plans. It didn't feel that mellow.

Here's what transpired:

Baby food made: carrots (joining homemade pears, canteloupe, sweet potato and butternut squash in the freezer)

Performances: 1 (Friday night)

Times the girls called us AFTER 10:30 PM while we were out to dinner last night: 3

Nights that N has fallen asleep on his belly: 3

Playdates:  1 1/2 – Jessie's yesterday afternoon and Alida here today until her mom realized she had a piano lesson

Games bowled today: 3

Cost of 3 games of bowling: $80

Cost of mediocre unhealthy dinner at bowling alley: $50

Cranky girls post-bowling: priceless

Dog playdates: 1, with Amber's dog Bea

Love connection between Bea and Lucky: not

Hours spent volunteering at P&P yesterday (with Grandma Sandy this year!): 2

Books bought: many

Discount on those books: 20% (woo hoo!)

And here is N's Sunday photo from today:

Gayle — That Nate is a gorgeous, happy baby. And why not! What a lucky guy he is, to be a member of your family!
