Lots of things happened this weekend.
N had 3 birthday parties – Zach, Emerson and Leyla:
He liked Leyla's party so much that on the way home, he asked me to "tell him the story of the party" so that he could remember it again.
He also had soccer practice today and participated really well:
We had some funny conversations today. First he said that being a parent is boring, because parents have to do boring things like give baths and read a lot of things. He did NOT put making dinner on the boring list, because making dinner is "fun". He said it is much more fun to be a kid because kids do a lot of tun things. True.
Later, he said that he wished I was 5, and didn't I wish I was 5 too? I said that if I were 5, I couldn't be his mommy. Then he said that someone else could be our mommy and I could be his sister. Awww.
Also, while we were grocery shopping, he said, "Mommy, I am having the best time here with you."
The girls had a very busy weekend too. Lots of sports, lots of homework at home. M had a softball game today, A had a soccer game today, and M played the second half of the soccer game. Yesterday, they had 2 soccer games and both played the whole games. They did a great job.
After the games yesterday, they said they wanted Starbucks, so we stopped there on the way home. M got a pumpkin spice latte, which she always wanted to try, and A had a strawberry cooler.
MA& have also both been greatly enjoying some silly putty that I brought home from the conference last week.
Finally, the Nats clinched last night.
