The Wiggles concert was fun. We arrived a bit late due to terrible Beltway traffic, but I think we only missed a few songs. The concert was pretty short but the girls seemed to enjoy it a lot. They knew most of the songs. I told them I always do a set list when I go to a concert, so we did one last night. Here’s what they played:
Wiggly Polka
Here Comes a Bear
Itsy Bitsy Spider
Do You Feel Like Dancing? (Disco)
Getting Strong (from the new album?)
Follow the Leader
Fruit Salad
Romp Bomp a Stomp
Wags the Dog
Happy Birthday to Wags
Monkey Dance
Joey Works With One Hammer
A Sailor Went To Sea
Play Your Guitar With Murray
Quack Quack Cock a Doodle Do
Point Your Finger and Do the Twist
Hot Potato Hot Potato
In other news, we got the girls’ school list today. Their posse from last year has been split up. Their best friend, Abigail, is not in their class! But Sydney and Lily and Josh are. They are Pilim (Elephants). A is already saying that she doesn’t want to be a Pilim. I don’t recognize their teachers either. Sigh – a new year – new room, new kids, new teachers.
M loves to read catalogs – she calls them "magazines" – and decide what she wants in them. Not such a good habit to encourage! Today a toy catalog came and she said, "Mommy, this is a really good magazine. Let’s go through and I will show you what I want and you will buy it." Of course, that’s exactly what we did. I bought them a stencil kit and a book that they can trace shapes in. I was going to buy a duck game she wanted too, but I took it out of the basket before checkout. I mean, who’s the boss here?
thats cool! its stinks tat you missed some of the songs, but its sounds like M and A had a fastastic time!
