Tonight M asked me whether food makes me, Mommy, grow. I explained that food helps little girls like M and A grow tall, but that when you reach a certain age, food doesn’t make you tall anymore, it just makes you big. Then she asked whether water and juice make you grow. I said that water does, but that juice doesn’t really, because it has a lot of sugar in it. A said, "I don’t like sugar." I told her that candy has sugar in it, and she said that she likes sugar. I said, "But you don’t want to eat too much of it." A said, "Take the sugar out of your mouth and put it in the garbage." That made us all laugh.
M then asked me how old I was. I said 37. She asked how old Daddy is, and I said 40. Allie is 11. M and A are 3. Then we talked about how old other "people" are:
Baby: 4
Blankie: 10
Piggy: 20
Bunny: 4
Purple blanket: 15 1/2
Blue blanket: A: "I don’t know" M: "How about 5?" A: "I don’t think so."
M’s pillow: 20-10.
As usual, it’s such fun to read about all of you.
Love,
Ann
